A number of utilities can be used to create and maintain redundant License Manager pools. The table below lists the most commonly used functions of these tools to give you a quick reference summary of which tool to use for what.

T = Temporary change in effect only until License Manager is stopped and restarted
P = Permanent change to redundant license file
I = Informational only, makes no changes
a = When done from within WlmAdmin by using the Edit > Redundant License File command, which calls WRlfTool
b = lslic provides options to add a license code permanently to the redundant license file or add a license code to the License Managers’ memory to be in effect only until all redundant License Managers are stopped and restarted again
Note: WRlfTool and WlmAdmin can be used on Windows computers only, while the other utilities may be used on Windows and UNIX computers.
